What you will Learn

On the Level 3 Criminology course, you will explore all aspects of crime from a social perspective. You will examine the causes of crime, its impact on society, and investigate the individuals committing these acts. Assessment

Assessment will be 50% coursework and 50% exam based.

Progression

The main purpose of the Level 3 Diploma in Applied Crimonology is to use the qualification to support access to higher education degree courses. These will include combinations of criminology, law, psychology and sociology.

Career Options

You can progress onto degree courses at many universities such as Criminology, Law, Sociology and Policing and Criminal Justice.

Long term, the qualification develops your understanding and skills so that you are able to consider employment in the criminal justice sector, such as in Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service, the Courts and Tribunals Service and the Police Service.
