Course Overview

This introductory floristry course is designed for anyone interested in creating stunning floral displays for weddings and special occasions. With a focus on elegance and creativity, you will learn how to design arrangements that bring beauty and atmosphere to memorable events.

A range of flowers and decorative items will be required. A detailed list will be provided each week.

No prior experience is required-just bring your enthusiasm and curiosity to explore this beautiful subject.

What you will Learn

By the end of this course, you will have the skills to design and assemble a variety of wedding and event floral arrangements, including:
– Bridal bouquet – techniques for crafting elegant, hand-tied bouquets.
– Top table arrangement – creating impactful displays for the wedding party’s table.
– Centrepiece wedding table arrangement – designing balanced and eye-catching centrepieces.
– Pew ends – adding floral accents to ceremony seating for a cohesive look.

You will gain confidence in working with different flowers, foliage, and accessories, while developing an eye for design that suits both traditional and contemporary wedding styles.

Assessment

This is an essentially practical course with no formal assessment. Students will receive constructive verbal feedback and will be encouraged to keep a photographic record of their work.
