Course Overview

This qualification will support learners to develop the knowledge and skills required to work in a range of clinical healthcare support settings and in adult care environments. It comprises of a combination of taught units and written assessments alongside practical observations in the workplace.

Students will need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement to be able to show competence in both knowledge and skills.

What you will Learn

This course covers a wide range of areas including core areas such as communication, data handling and equality and diversity as well as more specialised topics such as end of life care and positive risk taking.

You will learn how to work with a range of individuals in a variety of settings. You will study and practice your communication skills and ability to promote independence. You will have the opportunity to learn theory in the classroom and then implement this in the care sector.
